Hello, my name is Taylor Gale, owner of Gale Force Concepts. My journey into woodworking began with my employment at Edensaw Woods, in Port Townsend Washington. What started as a job turned into a passion for wood that continues to grow to this day. At Edensaw, I’ve had the opportunity to manage the live edge slab inventory. This includes sourcing, purchasing, facilitating the cutting and drying process, as well as helping every piece find a home. This training has given me a unique understanding of the entire process of turning raw materials into refined, marketable products. Along the way my appreciation for wood inspired me to go beyond buying and selling. I’d find myself selling a particularly unique slab, and wondering whether or not its buyer would effectively capture its beauty. I had seen everything that could go wrong during the finishing process, and I was determined to get it right.
